The criteria involved in this assignment are Criterion C and Criterion D. Criterion C is more towards communicating the case we have chosen, which is the burning of Churches. Effective communication could be achieved by drawing pictures, labels and facts in an interactive way, and to decorate the poster to make it more appealing. Secondly, Criterion B focuses on thinking critically, and in this sample work we are expected to create a flow chart of the event that lead to the burning of Churches. My chosen work is basically a flow chart, which contains key points of the events and causes of the burning of Churches in Indonesia and the fundamental reasons why it happened. This is my chosen work since I achieved the highest score in this sample work. Plus the comment below given by the teacher explains how I got the score, and why. My teacher said it was nicely decorated and has excellent flow and explanation of concepts, which I believe led me to this astounding grade. This sample work was absolutely necessary to give a further look on the root causes and effects of discrimination. I followed the steps and criteria specification by carefully writing all the events in the poster interactively, and conspicuously to attract the reader and give him/her important content. This sample work was actually the best I had done in this class, and had not much to improve. But if I were asked, I would say that I could have improved on the detail section, since could have included more details on each event to give a better context. This sample work connects/related with the key concept since in this topic we discussed extensively how discrimination affects us consciously and subconsciously, and thus we learned how to connect this in our daily life by using true incidents like the Burning of Church in Aceh. Plus I developed my understanding on the key concept by reflecting how it would feel for normal citizens to be threatened like this, after subconscious connecting this sympathetic event to life and feelings. Also I increased my understanding on the key concept as I explored more on the connections of the discrimination occurring nationally and internationally, and their undiscerning motives.
