In this subject I learned a variety of things, mostly based on exponent, logarithms and its functions. Firstly, I learned the theoretical concepts and functions of how it is used in various equations and simple conversions. In this part I learned mostly based on given formulas and applying it on different kind of equations. Secondly, I learned deeper on how to apply the formulas and solved more complex problems like word problems. In this segment I solved various complex word problems and learned how to apply it on real-life problems. This leads me to the final step/part of the teaching process which is applying it and learning the practicals. So thirdly, I learned how these concepts can be applied in real-life situations and problems. I also researched on a certain aspect/part in where logarithm is used and also a career that involves these calculations. The topic I chose which relates and uses logarithmic functions is the pH scale. When using the pH scale logarithm is widely and commonly used as the values in the scale are logarithmic and aren't linear. Logarithm shortens long expressions/values/numbers and basically expresses it in simple terms. On the other hand the sample work I provided relates with the first step of that I learned, which was the theoretical concepts and functions of how it is used in various equations and simple conversions. I have spent countless hours preparing for this test, as it is almost a summary of what we learned throughout the quarter about logarithm. The score I got for this sample work is my chosen one since according to my math teacher I got a great score for this assignment. Plus this is the best score I got for a test so far in this quarter. The thing I could improve/do differently is to fix and learn more about the fundamental concepts of this topic, since I got section/part C correct but I made few mistakes in Part A and B. I have got deeper knowledge on the key concept of relations/relationships as I found out the connection between mathematical calculations and other subjects and even our life. I understood that the knowledge we learned/gained in this subject is a long-term beneficial one. It has loads of application and relationships to our daily life and other subjects we learn (especially science).
